Crockpot Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

These Crockpot Spicy Black-Eyed Peas are so good and so easy. They go great with almost any type of meal. Not that many ingredients and easy to make in the Crockpot. I leave out the bell peppers, but that is just to fit my taste.

Crockpot Spicy Black-eyed Peas


  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper


  1. Pour the water into a slow cooker.
  2. Add the bouillon cube, and stir to dissolve.
  3. Combine the black-eyed peas, onion, garlic, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, ham, bacon, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper; stir to blend.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours until the beans are tender.
