I have always loved the tastes of Creole and Cajun cooking. Lots of spices and flavor. But it is not too hot. Now I have to admit that I left out the green peppers. But that’s because I have never liked green peppers. You should probably pay no attention to my preferences. Just fix it as the recipes calls for you to do.

Crockpot Jambalaya Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • rice

Directions

  1. In a Crockpot, mix the chicken, sausage, tomatoes with juice, onion, green bell pepper, celery, and broth.
  2. Season with oregano, parsley, Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper, and thyme.
  3. Cover and cook 7 to 8 hours on LOW, or 3 to 4 hours on HIGH.
  4. Stir in the shrimp during the last 30 minutes of cook time.
  5. Serve over rice.
  6. Enjoy!
