Crockpot Beef Korma Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs stewing beef, such as chuck steak, trimmed and cut into 1″ cubes
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 Tbs cooking oil
  • 3/4 oz fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1-2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper
  • 1 tbsp grounded coriander 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp mustard see
  • 4-5 cardemon pod
  • 1-2 tsp chilli powder, to taste
  • 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp concentrated beef stock
  • Fresh coriander, to garnish

Directions

  1. Add the dried spice mixture fry it on a medium pan until fragrant.
  2. Stir in onion, garlic & ginger to coat thoroughly.
  3. Keep cooking and stirring until the spices smell fragrant and the onion soften a little.
  4. Pour the spice mixture in the Crockpot, add meat, water & fresh cream.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Turn the slow cooker on HIGH, cover and cook for 4 hours or until meat is tender. (If preferred you can cook for about 7 hours on LOW.) If you have to go out it’s a good idea to turn it to LOW as it can look after itself for hours at that temperature.
